Calcium L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF-Ca) is a synthetic derivative of folic acid, the predominant, naturally occurring form of folate. It is synthesized by reduction of folic acid to tetrahydrofolic acid followed by methylation and diastereoselective crystallization (in water) of L-5-MTHF as its calcium salt. The product contains variable amounts of water of crystallization.

The products of reduced folic acid are our most experienced products. From our establishment in 2002, we began to produce calcium folinate. From the second half of 2008, our dedicated workshop for calcium folinate began to work. In 2008, we launched the production of L-5-MTHF-Ca. It is a synthetic source. As we know we are the only commercial manufacturer of L-MTHF Ca in China. The current capacity is 50KG per month. This product is produced in dedicated equipment according to a validated process. Usually we keep at least 1KG of store.
